Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SignalDocks (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our uptime monitoring service at signaldocks.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address (required for sign-up and notifications)
• Display name (optional)
• Profile avatar (optional)

Service Data

• URLs and endpoint configurations you add as monitors (you are responsible for having permission to probe these URLs)
• Check results: HTTP status codes, response times, error messages, timestamps
• Incident records and status updates you create
• Alert channel configurations (email addresses, webhook URLs)
• Status page content and subscriber email addresses

Payment Information

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, a third-party Merchant of Record. We receive a subscription status and a customer reference ID from LemonSqueezy but do not store or have access to your credit card number, billing address, or other payment card details. LemonSqueezy’s privacy policy applies to payment data.

Usage & Technical Data

• Browser type, operating system, and IP address (via standard server logs)
• Pages visited and features used within the Service
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Send alert notifications and transactional emails (down/up alerts, invoices)
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Respond to support requests
• Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations (we will notify you of any compelled disclosures unless prohibited by law)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your monitored URLs or check result data for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase on AWS infrastructure. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS). Access to the database is restricted by row-level security policies so that only authenticated account owners can read or modify their own data.

No security measure is 100% foolproof. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
• Check results older than 90 days may be automatically purged to manage storage costs.
• Upon account deletion, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained.
• Some data may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records).

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your authenticated session and remember preferences. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the Service.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection — object to certain processing of your data

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision.
